We are Mikki Gabriel Simonsen and Camilla Roll-Lund, architects and co-founders of HÆMP, a design-driven company based in Copenhagen. We work with sustainable materials and have developed a modular acoustic panel system made from hempcrete – a natural mix of hemp shiv, lime, and water. Our goal is to rethink how we build by creating healthier, biobased alternatives to conventional materials.

Our collaboration began during our Master’s in Architecture at the Royal Danish Academy, where we specialized in Settlements, Ecology, and Tectonics. With a shared focus on circular design, life cycle assessment (LCA), and material experimentation, we found common ground in a desire to bring nature back into the built environment through tangible, regenerative solutions.

At HÆMP, we address two urgent challenges: the negative impact of poor acoustic environments on human health and the lack of sustainable, high-performing alternatives in the construction industry. Our panels feature a modular and customizable design that allows for easy adjustment, reuse and replacement. They are CO₂-negative and free from chemicals and synthetic binders. By improving sound quality, air quality and overall indoor comfort, our biobased solutions create healthier, more beautiful, honest and future-ready spaces. Plus, they are easy to install.

Together, we are committed to redefining the future of building by creating biobased solutions that are not only healthier but also more beautiful, honest and built to last. With HÆMP, we invite you to join us in transforming spaces into sustainable environments where people and nature thrive side by side.
