RETHINKING MATERIALITY – HÆMP is born from a shared vision to transform the built environment by reintroducing nature through innovative, biobased design. Our modular acoustic panels are crafted from hempcrete, a natural composite of hemp shiv, lime, and water, developed to offer a healthier, more sustainable alternative to conventional building materials. The panels are consciously designed to enhance indoor acoustics while embodying the raw, honest beauty of their natural origins.

A COLLABORATIVE VISION – Founded by architects Mikki Gabriel Simonsen and Camilla Roll-Lund, HÆMP grew out of a joint exploration at the Royal Danish Academy’s Master’s program in Settlements, Ecology, and Tectonics. Grounded in circular design principles, life cycle assessment, and material experimentation, our work centers on regenerative solutions that prioritize human well-being and environmental responsibility.

MODULAR, SUSTAINABLE, AND FUNCTIONAL – Each panel features a modular design that enables effortless adjustment, reuse, and replacement. Constructed entirely without chemicals or synthetic binders, HÆMP panels are CO₂-negative and support healthier indoor environments by improving acoustics and air quality. Their natural surfaces age gracefully, reflecting the authenticity of the materials and adding a tactile dimension to interiors. Installation is simple and adaptable, inviting users to rethink how spaces can evolve with time.

At HÆMP, we are committed to redefining architecture through biobased solutions that are not only sustainable but also beautiful, honest, and resilient.
